Using the Pen tool draw the shape shown below.
Choose Revolve.
Check Preview in the Revolve dialogue box.
Change the Offset to Right Edge.
To finish, press Enter
Using the Pen tool, draw a line like the one shown below.
Draw two separate lines in two colours.
Blend each of the lines together using the Blend tool. Duplicate the leaf and reduce its size. Rotate it using the Rotate tool and place it in position.
Repeat the same method to make the flower.
Using the Pen tool, draw this shape.
Choose Revolve and select Right Edge.
Enter the degree to change the Perspective.
Shift the box to adjust the level of the apple.
Make a stem and increase the stroke size.
Draw two leaves. Add an interior highlight with a lighter colour.
Duplicate and decrease the base of the apple. Change its colour.
Rotate the apple using the Rotate tool.
Apply Shell Lower Warp Options.
Hold the Shift key and lessen in size.
With the Pen tool draw a straight line and increase the weight of the stroke to 4. Set the Offset to 1 pt. and Surface to Diffuse Shading.
Reduce the width of the candle by pulling the side of the bounding box inward. Make two shapes for the flame.
Using the Blend tool, choose the Specified Steps and use 3. blend the two colours together using the Blend tool.
Make a small line like the one given below. Use Revolve and Right-Edge. Adjust the size of the pieces for depth.
Duplicate the grouped piece. Uncheck Fill colour in the toolbox and change the stroke colour to a light colour. Duplicate a colour in the piece and then change its Transparency to 35%. Now we have a nice and simple Japanese style design.
